It is important to understand the cause of the current depressionary period of the 2010s. Now in 2012, there are compounding financial and economic crises around the world. Here is a theory written in 1990 that accurately predicted the kind and timing of the current depression. As of June of 2011, US unemployment was really about 20% when calculated using the method that was used in the 20th century. The unofficial unemployment rate is even higher and it looks like further financial crises are imminent. The US is in an era of economic depression that is masked by high government money creation and spending.
